Hello! I've been busy as of late. I am currently undertaking a placement at a games company in central.

Near where I work. Actually not really. I liked the buildings for an image idea. I've missed you London!

Here are some commission works I've done recently.

This one was for my friends blog who is currently building her career in Psychology. Like Samir! :)

I've been very very lucky to meet up with some of my favourite artists!

Sonny Liew at his studio. He was in the middle of moving , but kindly let me visit.

If you're a resident in London, you might remember the elephant parade? They are doing it in Singapore as well soon! ( it's a bad picture I apologise)

I also got to meet up with Oren. I forgot to take pictures but he kindly drew in my sketchbook.

At my workplace, I worked on an iPad game. I was very lucky to be given creative reign with the design and look for the game including the background and character designs! It's a project which I felt pushed my art and work flow to the max! Unfortunately I can't show the artwork I did for it yet until the games released.( which should be soon, I'll announce it when I can) I'm soo soo excited to show you all!

Hello! A gallery show is happening in London with my illustration agency, rarekind. Print's of mine will be sold as well as other artists! :) Unfortunately I won't be there as I'm here in Singapore but if you're near do check it out. The Potter films gets better and better each time. The art direction was spot on and the animation about the Three Brothers was impressive. Am slightly sad that there will be no more after part two, but am looking forward to it!

It's been a while since I've worked on something other than single illustrations so it's great to get back into the groove again. I've been working as a graphic designer / teacher for over a month so I haven't been able to get much work done recently.

1) Floating World Katamari Art Show went well and raised over $3000 for charity!

2) My entry got chosen for All I want for Christmas card project, which aims to support "Young Bristol" charity. I'm not allowed to show my entry just yet, but it launches November 4th so eyes peeled!

3) I've been lucky to take part in Noise Singapore Apprenticeship Program where I will be mentored for 10 weeks by concept/comic/info-graphic artist Kelvin Chan. I have a lot of ideas and hopefully lots of exciting work coming out for this! I'm really excited!

4) Am taking part in a gallery show @ Eastpack London with some artists from my illustration agency, Rare Kind. Prints of mine will be there to buy. I'll update with more info closer to the date.

Unfortunately I haven't got any images relating to show you. Have fanart/ early Halloween image. I've been watching a lot of TV shows here.

Our aims were to interpret each others work in our own style. I love how Dan depicts mechas in a contemporary, yet stylish way. I find it impossible to draw mechas so I'm always envious of people who can and who do it well! Here's my outcome of our collab.

Guys I seriously had an amazing time. This was my first time at an artist alley and the best part was meeting all the other fabulous artists I've been talking to on twitter/ DA/ flickr for months.

Meeting John Aggs who is an absolute legend in the UK comic scene at the moment.
I've been keeping an eye on a particular artist for months now after he was featured on drawn.ca. Instantly recognised Warwick Johnson Cadwell's work and was taken aback as I wasn't informed that he was going to be there! He kindly gave me a drawing and I bought a print from him. keep an eye out for his book thats soon to be published!
Meeting another one of my favorite artists in the UK comic scene, Nana Li. Luckily got to have a quick chat and lovely print swap before the end of expo!
Spoke to a lovely lady on the Saturday and I only realised towards the end of Sunday when she showed me her work that she was Zarina Liew!! Have been going crazy over her work for ages so it was a lovely surprise!

Was pretty much at table all the time with help from my lovely boyfriend and Declan doing his thing. Only got up twice for toilet breaks! Did lots of sketch commissions so I apologise if I didn't get time to speak to everyone as much as I wanted to!

Regrettably, I only got to purchase a small handful of things as I'm moving soon and need to really cut down. sad face. I had to try desperately hard to not get any comics/artbooks!!! 9super sad face)

Hello Hello!It's been a small while. Have not had time to make much art ( and illustration fridays) because of work.

Anyway just to let you know I'll be a guest artist for Tigz's and Olivia Rose's collaborative artbook. The book will especially draw upon the theme of fairytales and nightmares, which I think is a wonderful and very exciting opportunity to be part of. It will feature some work which I haven't posted before. Will let you know the details when I can.

Tigz is a very hard working friend of mine from back in uni who specialises in digital art. Go check her out!

Will try and do some Illustration Fridays when I can! ( even though its Friday today- doh)

A year ago I was so unhappy with everything I made. 2009 has probably been an important year for my work. A year where I took a lot of risks and did a lot of exploring. Hopefully 2010 brings something with more direction.

I usually hate making resolutions because I never stick to them, this year I'll just make a wish.

To drive, I meant by to drive a car XD. My bf has been nudging me to do so for ages. yeha I know you're reading this!

Here's to another new year and I hope it brings you health, happiness and good happenings.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas/boxing day! Here is a commission I did. The commissioner wanted to give this as a gift to someone which I thought was really sweet! Everything there was intentional as asked by the commissioner.

Hello! I spent all day painting a massive Nativity scene backdrop today for church. I wanted to be like the cool kids and have twitter updates with wip pictures but c'est la vie...I own neither a mactop or.... what do they call them? ahh a phone with the internets :) so unfortunately you'll have to see it here :

Hello this is another Illustration Friday, the theme being entangled. I used a brushink for the main lineart this time. It was supposed to be a lot simpler when I first started but I ended up using a million lenzflare layers as usual. Oh photoshop! Ah..also I wanted to make something fashion illustrationy but it went a bit off course.

If you're having a bad day watch this :) It makes me giggle so much.

I wanted to try some different colours and experiment a bit. Its some kind of weird goat thing?. This doesn't really have much of a deeper theme as last weeks but learned a few things doing this. Also nekkid lady bwahahaaa.*facepalm*

The idea came to me while I was working at a solicitors office. ( they have a Lady Justice figurine by the window) The heart against the feather is an ancient Egyptian concept where after death, your heart was weighed against the feather of the goddess Ma’at. If the heart was indeed pure, than it would weigh lighter than the feather. Which lead to the concept of an unfair trial being "unbalanced" in justice. phew!

oh and here is the thumb I drew for it. It about that large in real life.

Oh gosh oh gosh. I've been waiting for years for James Jean to visit it UK. Thank God I live in London! I don't usually attend signings/ fan events much. BUT I've been a massive fan of Mr Jean for a long time and seeing his work years ago was one of the contributing factors that encouraged me to take art seriously. I always find myself browsing through his art when I have an art block.

Sorry for the bad photo! was quite dark. I really enjoyed his talk, he covered a lot of questions I've always wondered about his art and early life.

Agh I feel so lame for asking for a photo! I tried to keep my distance in case he thought I was a stalking lunatic. sad face. also HE GREW HIS HAIR. When he got up on stage I thought it was a woman O-O

He kindly drew this in my sketchbook! Am going to keep this foreverrrr.

I gave him one of my postcards. And he looked at it (fount and back) for a good 5 seconds.I think he might have frowned. Or maybe I mistook it for a squint. Man I don't care if he scrunches up throws it away to have him look at my work was just an honor. Holy crap. I filled my quota for rambling and squeeling for the whole year. ahhh

I love it!!! My last favorite Pixar movie was Ratatouille :P I've brought a new sketchbook so time to fill it up!

Also a while ago I was featured on Shellsuit Zombie here and they wrote in such a sweet way about my work. I think it says on top "I get up, I shower, I love Celine Choo" Hahaha!

Hello its seems like forever since I've been here. My net has decided to go on a long walk again and again and again.

Something really nice has popped open, my little red series has been highly commended for Cheltenham Illustration Awards 2009! It was a nice surprise as I've been working as a teaching assistant at a primary school since July, so coming home after work leaves me almost no time for arting as I'm so tried! But its worth it as the kids make me laugh a lot. My favorite lessons are art and the week before we gave them healthy cooking lessons. ( Thai mango salad- yum!) though we altered the recipe to not include peanuts.

I have lots of scribbles sketches in my sketchbook on the way there in the morning, perhaps I'll put some in next time, yes? Also I've been learning French and joined the library again. Good times.

Lastly! I went to the Welcomed Gallery on Sunday with Akbar for life drawing. So fun! I wished I'd done more in the past, we both agreed that we need to draw people more.Haha. I think I draw girls too much. Okay enough rambles, I'll post more images in my future posts!

So there's this thing going on online where you colour a disney lineart, inspired by a classical painting.
Got this image from here and was inspired from a painting by Pierre Auguste Cot "spring"
Worked on it for a couple of hours. I'm going to leave it now before I over work it. Argh the digital. So good yet so evil.
Posting image now before my wireless dies. If there are any suggestions to improve it, just give me shout :)

Had a late lunch with Akbar to celebrate his birthday! I drew some artgifts for him. Sorry this is so late, have been having internet problems lately.

Hope you'll check him out, Akbar 's animals are the best!
